Torque Pro App Enhanced Honda PIDs for VCMTUNER and VCMTUNER II

To validate that your VCMTUNER or VCMTUNER II is actively disabling the VCM system, you can use the Torque Pro app (available for Android devices via the Google Play Store) paired with a Veepeak Bluetooth OBD2 adapter.

When the vehicle is fully warmed up and in motion, the reported ECT1 temperature should display between 161-165°F, confirming VCM is disabled. Upon initial vehicle startup, the real ECT1 temperature will be reported until the unit confirms the engine is running.

Enhanced Honda PIDs

If you have a newer Honda vehicle that does not output standard Engine Coolant Temperature data via basic OBD2 protocols, you must use Enhanced PIDs. These allow the Torque Pro app to read ECT1 (Engine Coolant Temp 1), ECT2, the number of active cylinders (VCM Status), and ATF Temperature on supported models.

We highly recommend purchasing the Veepeak OBD2 Bluetooth adapter (available on Amazon for under $20), as other adapters may not support these extended commands. Due to the vast number of Android devices and third-party apps, we cannot provide technical assistance for setting up your phone, tablet, Bluetooth pairing, or configuring the Torque Pro app.
